Join Italy Gay Travels on an amazing vacation, in Naples and around its wonderful coastline. This unforgettable holiday will commence in Naples, home to the best coffee and pizza in the world: a tour of this lively city will make you fall in love with it! We will then move to the charming city of Sorrento, world-famous for its romantic atmosphere. From there we will make our way to Sorrento, Positano, the Amalfi Coast and to the island of Capri, re-known for its beaches and the stunning faraglioni (world famous rocks in the Mediterranean, very Instagrammable!).

Day 1
Welcome to a wonderful vacation in Naples
Welcome to Naples! This vibrant seaside city is unique, renown for its amazing food and gay nightlife. In the evening join your fellow Gay Travelers and your Vacation host, Sergio, for a Complimentary Welcome Dinner. During the night, we will all get to meet each other and have a full briefing on the adventure that lies ahead.
After dinner we will enjoy a drink or two around Piazza Bellini, the heart of the Gay night life of this city.

Day 2
Naples
After a hearty breakfast our Gay Naples Vacation group will meet for a private tour of the historical center of Naples with Sergio, your Vacation leader. We will visit famous landmarks of the Old Town of Naples, such as Spaccanapoli and San Gennaro Duomo. The historical center of Naples is recognised as UNESCO World Heritage site because of its uniqueness: it comprises 448 historical monuments and churches. It is an area rich both in popular culture (San Gregorio Armeno and its street art being the symbol of the area) and historical landmarks, including many noteworthy palazzos.
Free time for lunch: why not enjoy the famous Chiaia area, a bustling street in the center of the city? There you will find a multitude of friendly restaurants, cafes, and bars.
In the afternoon our group will follow the Vacation Leader in a private stroll across the centre of the city. Sergio will show you his favorite spots of the most beautiful city in the world (according to him). Passing through Via Toledo, Pignasecca, the Spanish Quarters you will end up into Piazza Plebiscito and Castel dell’Ovo. This seaside castle’s name derives from a legend about the Roman poet Virgil and the oldest standing fortification in Naples. From here you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and admire Mount Vesuvius.
Free time in the afternoon to enjoy the famous Piazza Bellini, a bustling Piazza in the center of the city where you will find a multitude of gay friendly restaurants, cafes, and bars. Another option is to head to a beach nearby the city. Please speak to your Vacation Leader for the arrangements needed.

Day 3
Herculaneum
Today, after breakfast, your Vacation leader, Sergio, will take you to Herculaneum. Less known than the nearby Pompeii, Herculaneum is one of the few ancient cities covered by the ashes of the eruptions of the Vesuvius Volcano, thus it is nowadays preserved nearly intact. You will discover a unique wealthy city, once upon a time a seaside retreat for rich Romans. During a 2-hour stroll you will discover thermal baths, shops and luxurious houses featuring eccentric masterpieces with an elaborate use of marble cladding.
After lunch, returning to Naples, you will be free to spend the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure.
In the evening you can join your Vacation leader for an optional stroll in Spaccanapoli; he will make sure you have a taste of the best South-Italian food around.

Day 4
Free Day in Naples – Optional Visit to Pompeii
Today is a free day: spend the time as you wish and explore the area at your own pace. Your host will be around to offer advice and guidance as needed.
Many will appreciate this free time to pay a visit to Pompeii and its historical ruins. Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a unique snapshot of Roman life, frozen at the moment it was buried in the Eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
If history is not your thing your host will be happy to lead an Optional Visit to the largest island in the bay of Naples, Ischia. The island is considered by many to be the most beautiful, though Capri is considerably more famous. It is volcanic in origin and still classed as an active volcano. No worries, though, it has not erupted since 1302!
Whatever you choose to do today, please don’t forget to join your Vacation Leader for a Complimentary Neapolitan Pizza Dinner.

Day 5
Naples – Sorrento
After breakfast, it is time to pack. With a private transfer we will make our way to Sorrento. During the afternoon do as you please: enjoy the vibrant centre of Sorrento at your own pace. Shopping, beach, gelato… you choose! In the early evening join us for a stroll in Sorrento: your host will lead you to discover the best sights of the town and its seaside.

Day 6
Positano
In the morning, we will enjoy a private transfer to Positano. We will have a stroll downtown, through its little pictoresque alleys, down to the beach. Free time for lunch, to enjoy some shopping… or maybe lying down at the beach? In the afternoon our private driver will drive us back to Sorrento.

Day 7
Capri
After breakfast we will make our way to the marina. We will step on a boat and reach the island of Capri, in style. Capri has long been a hotspot for European gay life from the early 20th century. We will enjoy a private boat ride around the island: here is the opportunity to have a dip off the boat and splash in the crystalline waters of the bay. After the boat ride you will have free time to enjoy lunch and a stroll around Capri: around its famous Piazzetta you will discover fashion streets and glamourous boutiques. In the late afternoon we enjoy aperitifs as we soak up this breathtaking scenery before taking a boat back to Sorrento.
In the evening we will enjoy a complimentary farewell dinner in the lively streets of Sorrento.
