Welcome to Olbia

Make your way over to the Marina in Olbia.

We will embark in Olbia on Saturday afternoon. You will be welcome with a glass of Prosecco of course!

We will drop off our bags on the boat and will start to getting to know our fellow sailors. There will be a safety briefing and some basic training to ensure that everyone remains safe through the trip. After, we will head off for a welcome dinner in a local restaurant in the marina of Olbia: the perfect occasion to start getting to know your fellow sailors and the crew. After dinner and a few drinks we will head back to the port to sleep on the boat, ready for the gay sail adventure that lies ahead.

Daily Program

On Sunday morning we will leave the port ready to gay sail in the Mediterranean Sea ready to start exploring the area around us.

After tugging at the strings (of the boat) we open the sails and head out into the open sea. If you have never sailed, fear not, we will show you the ropes to ensure you don’t go overboard. We have selected only the best professional crew to keep you afloat as we cross the sea and head to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

We will start making our way to the close-by Tavolara Island, a  charming island mostly famous for being the seat of the world’s smallest kingdom. Punta Cannone, on top of the island, offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains as well as the Strait of Bonifacio and Corsica. The wonderful bays of the island are perfect for a nice swim.

We will spend the night on board our sailing boat here in the bay: your host will prepare a delicious Italian dinner and we will dance the night away with International gay anthems and Italian Pop Music.

In the next days we will explore amazing spots off the Sardinia Coast: Golfo Aranci, Caprera and Maddalena islands name a few*. The exact itinerary will depend on the winds, as you can imagine: we will have a professional skipper with us, and a host/cook. We will usually sail during the morning. We will have breakfast and light lunch on board. In the afternoon / evening we will explore the islands and have dinner in local restaurants.

This is an example of itinerary that we will follow if the winds are on our side:

• Day 2, Sunday. We leave Olbia early morning and we gay sail towards Tavolora island. We will anchor in the local Marina: We disembark and explore this beautiful island for amazing views. Back to the boat, your host will prepare a delicious dinner. Sleep in a bay off Tavolara island.
• Day 3, Monday. We sail towards Golfo degli Aranci where we will anchor in a beautiful bay. Sleep in port in Golfo degli Aranci.
• Day 4, Tuesday. We sail towards Caprera, an enchanting island located in the Mediterranean Sea, just off the northeastern coast of Sardinia. The area is completely protected: The island has many romantic hidden bays. Among them the stunning Cala Coticcio, also referred to as Tahiti Bay. Sleep in Caprera.
• Day 5, Wednesday. We navigate towards Palau, where we will anchor in the local Marina and explore its beautiful little town center. Sleep in Palau.
• Day 6, Thursday. We leave the port in the morning and we sail towards Porto Cervo. We will put the anchor down in a beautiful little bay before making a grand entrance in this wonderful spot.
• Day 7, Friday. We sail back to Olbia, where we will arrive in the afternoon. We will sleep on board on Friday, disembarking on the Saturday, early morning.

We have selected only the best crew to keep you afloat as we cross the Mediterranean sea and head to some of the most beautiful spots and islands around. The only criteria for this cruise is the ability to swim. Of course, the crew are here to help you a little and show you how things work. They do all the hard work of course 😊 Picture lying on the front deck, wind through your hair, a beer in your hands and gazing out into the Mediterranean.

Our gay sail yachts are modern with space to relax. The cabins are comfortable and there is a fully equipped galley and at least 3 bathrooms.
