Friday 22nd September
Evening Aperitif – 18:00
Il Bastione Bar, Riviera Nazario Sauro, 28
Join us in the afternoon for delectable aperitifs and 2 drinks of your choice in the enchanting bay of Gallipoli. Il Bastione bar is perfectly located to watch the sun set over the bay whilst looking fabulous in the orange glow. We have selected an exclusive spot where we can all mingle and drink whilst tasting local appetizers and getting to know each other.
From here we can take a stroll around the beautiful historic centre of Gallipoli. We then will make our way to the new town, a short 10 minutes’ walk from the bar.
Pizza Dinner – 21:00
Eskada, Via Filomarini, 7
Eskada is by far the best Pizza place in Gallipoli, according to Italy Gay Travels of course! This place is famous for its wide variety of Pizzas and unique dough mix. Pizza, soft drinks, wine or beer are included in the price.
Next it is on to the best gay bar around, LED Cafe, just 2 blocks away. Drink the night away whilst getting to know the locals. It might be an early evening for some but the bar is open until 4am for those who like to burn the midnight oil!
Saturday 23rd September
On Saturday Morning, Puglia Gay Summer Pride will offer 2 different experiences that you can choose from:
Kayaking in the wild port of Porto Selvaggio – 09:15
Meeting Point: Gelateria Calo’, Corso Roma 121
Join in the fun for a few hours in this protected nature reserve north of Gallipoli. You will set off from Santa Caterina and head towards an exclusive beach in the wild reserve. Please make sure that you can swim, oh and bring along your sunscreen 😊. Spaces are limited so book with us at your earliest convenience.
Wine Tasting in Nardo – 10:00
Meeting Point: Gelateria Calo’, Corso Roma 121
Fancy yourself as a connoisseur? Why not explore the vats of a unique winery in Salento followed by a wine tasting session? Schola Sarmenti, the winery we chose, is one of the few creating distinctive Negroamaro and Primitivo wines, which are becoming more popular the world over.
Gallipoli Gay Boat Party – 14:30
Meeting Point: Gelateria Calo’, Corso Roma 121
On Saturday afternoon the Gay Summer Party experience not to be missed is the Gallipoli Gay Boat Party: join up to 60 local and international men from all over the world packed with sun and fun! Italy Gay Travels will charter a boat in the port of Gallipoli and drift around its beautiful bay. You can jump on and off at will and swim in its turquoise waters. There will be a welcoming glass of Prosecco followed by white wine or soft drinks and light appetizers. The boat ride will last around 4 hours. Feel free to bring along your favorite drinks or beers and snacks.
Sunday 24th September
The last day of events of the Puglia Gay Summer Party will take place on the beach (naturally).
Afternoon Beach Party – 16:00
Lido Pôr do Sol, Litoranea Per Santa Maria Di Leuca – Baia Verde Gallipoli
Join in on the fun at Lido Pôr do Sol, a beautiful beach Lido on the sandy beaches south of Gallipoli. Those who come early will get free deck chairs, sun lounges and parasols. Just mention Italy Gay Travels at the entrance for the freebies.
From 4pm the music will pick up a notch and the official Puglia Gay Summer Party will start. You can dance and throw summersaults in the sea to your hearts content! Picture yourself immersed in the golden sandy beaches whilst sipping on cocktails. Forget Café Del Mar, this is the real deal.
Seafood Dinner – 21:00
Location To Be Disclosed
For those wishing to explore Gallipoli on their own, the rest of the evening is free. Those eager for even more can join Italy Gay Travels for a culinary treat. Taste the catch of the day in a typical Salento Fish Restaurant, an experience not to be missed!
